OTT Kemenpora Grants Corruption, This Chronology
JurnalUpdate. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) explains the chronology of the capture of corruption cases in the distribution of sports aid from the government. Assistance through the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) to the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) in the 2018 budget year.
The KPK has named five suspects in the case, namely alleged as the giver, KONI Secretary General Ending Fuad Hamidy (EFH) and the General Treasurer of KONI Jhonny E Awuy (JEA). While allegedly as recipients, namely Deputy IV of the Mulyana Youth and Sports Ministry (MUL), Adhi Purnomo (AP) who is the Commitment Making Officer at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and friends and Eko Triyanto (ET) who are staff of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and friends .
"After getting information from the public and conducting a series of investigative activities, the KPK caught hands on Tuesday (12/18) in Jakarta and secured a total of 12 people," KPK Deputy Chairman Saut Situmorang said at a press conference at the KPK building, Jakarta, Wednesday (19 /12 am.
Twelve people were secured, namely Mulyana, Adhi Purnomo, Eko Triyanto, Ending Fuad Hamidy, Jhonny E Awuy, three Kemenpora employees, three KONI employees, and a driver. Saut explained based on the information received, on Tuesday (18/12) the KPK team came to the Kemenpora office in Jakarta.
"Around 19:10 WIB, the team secured ET, the Ministry of Youth and Sports Staff and the AP, Commitment Making Officials at the Ministry of Youth and Sports in his office," said Saut.
Furthermore, at 7:15 a.m. WIB, the team then secured three other employees in his office in Kemenpora. At 7:40 p.m., the team then moved to the restaurant in the Roxy area to secure Ending Fuad Hamidy and his driver.
At 23.00 WIB, the team secured JEA, KONI's General Treasurer and another KONI employee at each residence. "On Wednesday (19/12) around 00.15 WIB, N who was the KONI Finance staff went to the KPK building," Saut said.
Then, at 9:15 a.m., the team secured E at the KONI office and at 10:20 WIB, S who was a former staff of the Assistant Expenditures Agency (BPP) in Kemenpora came to the Jakarta KPK building. From these locations, the KPK team secured a number of items of evidence including Rp. 318 million, savings book and ATM (balance of around Rp. 100 million in the name of Jhonny E Awuy under Mulyana's control), Eko Triyanto's blue Chevrolet Captiva and cash in plastic packages in the KONI office is around Rp. 7 billion.
Allegedly Adhi Purnomo, Eko Triyanto and his friends received a gift of at least Rp. 318 million and from KONI officials regarding government grants to the KONI through Kemenpora. "MUL is suspected of receiving money in an ATM with a balance of around Rp100 million related to the distribution of aid from the government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports to KONI Fiscal Year 2018," said Saut.
It was previously suspected Mulyana had received other gifts, namely in April 2018 receiving a unit of Toyota Fortuner, in June 2018 received money of Rp300 million from Jhonny E Awuy, and in September 2018 received a smartphone unit of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.
